We shall overcome. It’s saddening that this bad government that claim to be fighting Corruption is the one antagonising , intimidating and humiliating anti Corruption crusaders.

Though, we are above intimidation and no governrtment can prevent us from fighting for the welfare of the people and greatnes of Dear Country , Nigeria in accordance with the rule of law and Constitutionalism.
All problems bedevilling this country are effects of corruption. Unemployment, insecurity, bad Governance etc are the resultant effects of Corruption. Its not opaque to us at CACOBAG and anti corruption Organisations world wide that corruption going on in this government is unprecedented in the history of Nigeria, yet this deceitful Government thinks Nigerians can be bamboozled.
No matter how long it takes, the corruption of this regime of Major General Muhamnadu Buhari rtd shall be exposed. Immunity is for a while.
If a government fails to acknowledge the role of Anti corruption crusaders of International repute like Olanrewaju Suraju, it behoves on all of us as civil society as a body to take decisive action against such government.

A government that understands the importance and collaboration of Civil Society in nation building ought to have considered Olanrewaju Suraj for a national award for assisting and complimenting government efforts to catch the ” international thief thief” that are bent on using our collective wealth to satisfy their hedonistic tendencies.
Suraj is a man that organisations world wide including Great Universities outside the country do compete to have to deliver papers on the fight against corruption.
It reminds me of the statement of one of the Greatest Nigerians that ever lived, the Greatest President Nigeria ought to have had after the demise of Vintage Awo, My Oga,My Father, My leader, My benefactor , the most patriotic Nigerian that ever lived , Chief Ganiyu Oyesola Fawehinmi SAM.
This statement applies to this regime of Major General Muhammadu Buhari rtd whose Government can’t identify genuine patriotic citizens.
The statement titled “My Saddness at 62 was issued to mark Gani’s 62nd Year Birthday. “Something is wrong with a Country that says what is good is bad and what is bad is good”( paraphrased)
It’s unfortunate that Chief has gone to rest, without mincing words this regime would have known the power of People’s action against a bad government. However, we shall continue the struggle to make Nigeria works.
Gani was/is ( Gani is a Revolutionary that can never die) a
giant that we stood on his shoulder. We insisted there should be legal framework for whistle blowing to protect Whistle blowers.
Intimidation and harassment of Olanrewaju Suraj is an embarrassment to Civil Society world wide.
It portrays the country as one that is fighting corruption with levity.
The Country belongs to the people and not the government .
1999 CFRN as altered is unambiguous when it declares ; ” sovereignty belongs to the people”.
Those at the helm of affairs are holding power in trust for the people.
Government is a soldier go, soldier come affair.
Therefore we the people must resist any attempt by this government to gag Civil Society leaders.
All of us as individuals and organisations must immediately commence legitimate actions including litigation against this government.

SURAJ.

Coalition Against Corruption and Bad Governance CACOBAG and myself as an individual as the chairman of CACOBAG will be filing separate actions against this government on the harassment of Anti Corruption Campaigner and a leader in the civil Society , Olanrewaju Suraj.
The fight is not for Suraj or HEDA at all.
It’s a battle we must collectively wage against this government.
The government has to clarify before the Court, the rationale behind it’s anti Corruption fight. Is it lip service to deceive the world or Nigerians or to pave way for only their people to be able to “chop and bellefull”.
If not why the intimidation of Anti Corruption crusader Suraj , a patriotic and one of the most diligent persons in the civil society that acknowledged and recognized world wide . A man that is always ready to go to any length to unravel the mystery behind any act of corruption.
No doubt this government has an hidden agenda and is not really committed to the fight against corruption in the real sense of it.
Its disturbing that Presidential Advisory Committee on Corruption has not reacted to this embarrassment to anti Corruption groups as a whole.
One thing is certain, everything is ephemeral and we will not because of any government that has only two years or so to reign jettison our constitutional duty of assisting law enforcement agencies in the performance of their lawful duties.
Nothing can permanently imprison determined souls.
The fight against corruption is ours as a people and not the government.
We are too sure of victory.
