Council Chair, Others Flag off Amuwo Odofin Games
The Council Chairman of Amuwo Odofin, Engr. Dr. Valentine Buraimoh in company of Hon. Mojisolaoluwa Alli-Macaulay and very excited residents joined the convener of the Amuwo games to flag off the 2021 edition at the council secretariat on Saturday.
Engr. Dr. Valentine Buraimoh heartily commended the organizers and everyone who had turnout for the August event.
The flag off exercise entailed the carrying of the games torch from the local government through Festac town to Mile 2 primary school, where more residents were excitedly awaiting the arrival of the torch.
Hon. Mojisola also while delivering her speech charged participants who were predominantly young people to engage the spirit of Fairplay. She emphasized that the games are not only about winning but a symbol of unity and brotherliness.
Other dignitaries including legendary Peter Rufai participated in the flag off ceremony.
